DIY AAC Competition 2022

Greetings all!!
In conjuction with AAC awareness month in October, AAC SIG is organising a “DIY AAC Competition “. Come and join us to stand a chance of winning the cash prizes !

Only 2 winners will be selected, one from communication board/ book category and one from on the go system (e.g: wristband, lanyard) category.

Here’ s the guidelines and judging criteria of the AAC system.

The AAC system

1. needs to have core and fringe vocabulary
2. needs to support a variety of communication functions (eg commenting, requesting, asking questions)
3. can be used for everyday use or activity based
4. can be in local languages (e.g. Chinese, Malay, Tamil) bonus points given!
5. should include the alphabet (if applicable)
6. needs to be submitted in PDF format

Please name your folder (Name_type of aac_phone number) and submit your work at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1VAKZebSJDRJ3nf5bGyOitHnh1DiTXzNn?usp=sharing before 31 Oct 2022. Please note that all submitted work will be stored in Google drive and made free for our AAC SIG members to access in the future.
